XML Content Creation

Extensible Markup Language (XML) is quickly becoming the standard for the formatting of web content. Many of the most recognized software companies are using this markup language.

What is XML?

XML is a subset of SGML, the Standard Generalized Markup Language. SGML and XML markup are different than formatting markup. Rather than showing how a document should look, such as point size, font type, etc., SGML and XML describe a document's logical structure. XML formatted data can be used across many different applications and is therefore different from proprietary data formats. By streamlining SGML, XML becomes a markup language that is easier to implement, and more usable for the Web.

Saztec's Service Description

Saztec has the ability to create high accuracy XML content for projects of all sizes. We are capable of quickly converting large volumes of data in English and foreign languages due to our state of the art technology and expansive company owned labor resources. We have experience working with many of the public document type definitions (DTD) including the Text Encoding Initiative (TEI) DTD and the standardized XML DTDs for human resources developed by the HR-XML consortium. We provide several options for the creation of content, including; key and full key verify, double key and compare, or double key with triple compare. We use industry standard programs, as well as custom developed tools and techniques for the creation and insertion of XML markup.

Key and Full Key Verify

Data is keyed and full key verified, which means two different operators will work on each document. This process works on the logic that the probability of two independent working persons committing the same error is almost zero. Validation and edit checks are run using validation lists supplied by the client and errors are corrected. XML tagging is parsed and checked against the DTD, and the final files will have a character accuracy rate of 99.5%.

Double Key Entry and Compare

Where even higher accuracy is required, Saztec can provide a Key, Key, Compare service, where three people work on each document. First, two independent data entry operators key the document. The two resulting files are programmatically compared, and a third operator reviews any differences and chooses the correct character for each difference. Validation and edit checks are run using validation lists supplied by the client and errors are corrected. XML tagging is parsed and checked against the DTD, and the final files will have a character accuracy rate of 99.95%.

Double Key Entry and Triple Compare

Where the highest accuracy is required, Saztec can provide a Key, Key, triple Compare service, where five people work on each document. First, two independent data entry operators key the document. The two resulting files are programmatically compared, and two identical "compare" files are created. Two different operators each independently review the differences in their copy of the "compare" file and choose the correct character for each difference. The two files resulting from this process are programmatically compared, and another operator reviews any differences and chooses the correct character for each difference. Validation and edit checks are run using validation lists supplied by the client and errors are corrected. XML tagging is parsed and checked against the DTD, and the final files will have a character accuracy rate of 99.995%.
